Daryl Murphy earns a point for Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town produce an impressive second-half display to earn a point at home to Nottingham Forest in the Championship.

Nottingham Forest have continued their recent poor form by drawing 1-1 at Ipswich Town in the Championship to make it nine games without a win.

Things looked good for Forest when they took the lead in the opening minutes, but they were pegged back by an improved Ipswich side in the second half and had to settle for a point.

Danny Collins have Forest the perfect start to the match by heading home from a corner after just four minutes.

The defender almost doubled his tally six minutes later when the ball dropped to him in the middle of the box, but he fired just wide before a couple of half-chances fell to the hosts.

Ipswich improved after half time with blocked efforts for Sylvain Ebanks-Blake and Aaron Cresswell, before Tommy Smith headed over from a corner with 30 minutes to go.

Jonathan Williams then played Daryl Murphy through, but his effort was tipped over as Ipswich started to dominate the game.

Matt Derbyshire headed just wide for Forest with five minutes to go before Ipswich were denied even later, when Frank Nouble's effort was tipped wide after good work from the striker.
