Nottingham Forest's Danny Collins sidelined with ankle ligament damage

Danny Collins will be sidelined for Nottingham Forest with ankle ligament damage, but Jamie Paterson recovers from an illness.

Nottingham Forest have confirmed that Danny Collins is set for a spell on the sidelines but have not given an estimation of his recovery period.

The Wales international defender suffered ankle ligament damage during his side's 1-1 draw with Bournemouth at City Ground in the Championship on Saturday.

However, Forest will have Jamie Paterson back from injury after the forward recovered from an illness.

"I had a stomach bug – it was a bad sickness but I'm back now, I'm fit and I'm looking forward to being involved in some more games," he told the club's official website.

Forest are currently fourth in the league table with 23 points from 12 matches.
