Nottingham Forest consider move for Mikele Leigertwood?

Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce is keen to add midfielder Mikele Leigertwood to his first-team squad, according to reports.

Free agent Mikele Leigertwood has reportedly been contacted regarding a move to Nottingham Forest.

The 31-year-old was released by Reading at the end of last season after an injury-ravaged campaign saw him make just four appearances for the Royals.

However, according to Sky Sports News, after he proved his fitness during the final weeks of the season, Nottingham Forest are prepared to offer Leigertwood a contract as Stuart Pearce looks to put together a promotion-winning squad at the City Ground.

The midfielder is said to have attracted interest from a number of clubs, but the East Midlands outfit are believed to be favourites to secure the former Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace man's signature.
