Jobi McAnuff, Mikele Leigertwood, Kaspars Gorkss to leave Reading this summer

Reading confirm that Jobi McAnuff, Mikele Leigertwood and Kaspars Gorkss will all leave the club this summer.

Reading have announced that Jobi McAnuff, Mikele Leigertwood and Kaspars Gorkss will leave the club this summer.

Stuart Taylor has also seen his contract come to an end at the Madejski Stadium, while Wayne Bridge has confirmed his retirement from football.

McAnuff, Leigertwood and Gorkss all helped the Royals gain promotion to the Premier League in 2012, but the club spent just one season in the top flight before returning to the Championship.

"On behalf of the club, I would like to firstly thank Jobi, Mikele and Kaspars," director of football Nick Hammond told Reading's official website.

"They are part of our club's history and we are very grateful for their contribution, especially during that unbelievable promotion season. We truly wish them well."

Reading narrowly missed out on reaching the Championship playoffs on Saturday as a 2-2 draw with Burnley saw Brighton & Hove Albion snatch sixth place in the table.
