Greg Halford has joined Nottingham Forest from Portsmouth as the player exodus continues at Fratton Park.
The 27-year-old's departure leaves Portsmouth with just five players as they look to stave off the threat of liquidation, and Halford has admitted that he felt forced out of the club.
Halford told Forest's official website: "It's been a tough year but the administrator wanted us all out. Not knowing whether there was going to be a club was unsettling.
"This is the right time for me to be here. The facilities are great. I know the owners have big plans as well."
Halford has also previously played for the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Sunderland and Reading.
