Nicklas Bendtner completes move to Nottingham Forest on two-year deal

Former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner completes a move to Nottingham Forest on a two-year deal.

Former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has finalised a move to Nottingham Forest on a free transfer.

The Championship club's owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi confirmed the news on Twitter, revealing that the 28-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year contract.

Bendtner has been a free agent since April after his contract was terminated by Wolfsburg following a handful of disciplinary problems, including arriving late to training.

The striker began his senior career at Arsenal after coming through the youth ranks, but was sent out on loan to Birmingham City, Sunderland and Juventus during a nine-year spell before permanently leaving to join Wolfsburg in 2014.

In 31 Bundesliga appearances, Bendtner, who has 72 caps for Denmark, scored just three goals.

Forest currently sit seventh in the Championship table following three wins and two defeats.
