Keith Curle wants to keep Alan Judge

Notts County boss Keith Curle wants to keep much-coveted midfielder Alan Judge at the club.

Notts County boss Keith Curle has called on Alan Judge to remain with the club in order to aid their Championship promotion push.

The 23-year-old, who is regarded as one of the best talents in the lower leagues, has reportedly attracted the interest of a host of Championship clubs.

"Alan is of the mindset that he wants to play at the highest level and obviously the next step up is the Championship," Curle told Sky Sports News.

"Ideally, he would like to play in the next tier with us, so it is in his best interest to keep putting in the performances, scoring goals and helping this club reach that level.

"I do believe that Alan is ready for the Championship, but only if selected in the right team that fully understands his strengths and how to get the best out of him. He is definitely Championship material at a minimum in my eyes."

Judge's current deal will expire at the end of the season.
