Oldham Athletic have completed the signing of striker Charlie MacDonald, following his release by Leyton Orient.

The 32-year-old has agreed a one-year deal with the League One club, with the option of a 12-month extension.

MacDonald began last season with MK Dons before joining Orient on a short-term contract in January.

He scored three times in 20 appearances for the East London side, but was allowed to leave Brisbane Road at the end of the campaign.

MacDonald has also played for Charlton Athletic, Southend United and Brentford.
