Half-Time Report: Peterborough United coasting past Oldham Athletic

Goals from Britt Assombalonga, Tommy Rowe and Lee Tomlin send Peterborough into a 3-0 half-time lead over Oldham.

Peterborough United are on course for their third successive victory in League One after securing a healthy 3-0 half-time lead over Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park.

Darren Ferguson's men, who edged a seven-goal thriller by beating Notts County 4-3 on Tuesday evening, picked up where they left off in midweek as Britt Assombalonga headed the hosts into the lead within five minutes.

Tommy Rowe doubled his team's advantage shortly after, before Lee Tomlin added a third shortly before the interval as Posh go into the break boasting a near-unassailable lead.
