Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson insists that he will not resign despite the club sitting bottom of the Championship.

Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson has vowed to fight on at London Road and try to haul his side off the bottom of the Championship table.

Posh fell to their sixth defeat in seven games on Saturday when they lost 4-1 to Blackpool, but the 40-year-old has insisted that he will not leave the club.

Ferguson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I've never left anything and I'm not going to.

"But Saturday was deeply disappointing and the second half was as poor as anything I can remember."

Ferguson is in his second spell as Peterborough boss and he has twice led them to promotion to the Championship.
