The High Court case regarding the sale of Portsmouth's Fratton Park is adjourned until the end of the month.

The High Court case regarding the sale of Portsmouth's Fratton Park has been adjourned until the end of the month.

Fans' group Pompey Supporters Trust are hoping to complete a takeover of the club, but their bid hinges on administrators PKF gaining permission to sell the stadium, which is controlled by former club owner Balram Chainrai.

The hearing, which was originally due to take place in December, had been rearranged until tomorrow in order to allow further discussions to take place between PKF and Chainrai's company Portpin.

However, the case has now been pushed back until January 31.

Portsmouth joint administrator Trevor Birch said in a statement: "Following discussions last week, all parties agreed to ask the Court for an adjournment until 31 January.

"We have been informed this afternoon that the judge has granted this request."

Portsmouth, who currently sit 23rd in the League One table, entered administration last February and they face a 10-point deduction if and when they exit.
