Richie Barker: 'We lack confidence'

Richie Barker claims that his Portsmouth players are short on confidence after they lost to Newport County today.

Richie Barker believes that his Portsmouth players lack confidence after a 2-0 defeat to Newport County in his first match in charge.

Mike Flynn scored twice for the away side, although Patrick Agyemang had a shot cleared off the line in the first half.

"There were a lot of things which were evident today. We looked nervous early on but got on top after that," Barker told the Portsmouth News.

"Once the first goal went in the lack of confidence became quite clear."

Pompey face Bristol Rovers away next in League Two.
