Report: Zlatan Ibrahimovic ban will not be overturned

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is told that he has "no chance" of seeing his automatic one-match suspension overturned following his red card against Chelsea, a report claims.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reportedly been told that the red card he was shown against Chelsea on Wednesday evening will not be overturned.

The 33-year-old faces a one-match suspension following his first-half challenge on Oscar, which prompted Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers to reach into his back pocket.

It had previously been claimed that the Swedish forward had solid grounds to appeal the decision, although Sky Sports News quotes a UEFA source as saying that there is "no chance" he will be cleared.

European football's governing body will meet next Thursday to now decide whether or not to extend the suspension by a further match.

Despite being reduced to 10 men, PSG claimed a 3-3 aggregate draw to advance into the quarter-final stage of the competition on away goals.
