Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva has claimed that his team are now "ready" to win the Champions League.
The French champions have exited the European Cup at the quarter-final stage in each of the last three seasons, but have been tipped to challenge for the top prize this time around.
Ahead of Tuesday's last-16 first leg against Chelsea, Silva has insisted that his team have the credentials to lift the trophy this season.
"As captain of the team I say we are close and ready to win. We know that it is possible although, obviously, we also know that it is not easy," Silva told The Telegraph.
"But I have a lot of confidence that PSG has the quality to go all the way. I know the quality of this team, I am very proud of this team. We can do it.
"Playing Chelsea is a magnificent draw because I think we already know this team quite well. They have got a lot of Brazilian players, it's not far from Paris and there is already the rivalry."
PSG have not lost in any competition since suffering a 1-0 defeat at Real Madrid in the group stages of the Champions League on November 3.
