How Paris Saint-Germain could line up against Marseille

Sports Mole looks at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up in Sunday's Ligue 1 clash with Marseille.

Paris Saint-Germain's surge towards the Ligue 1 title will continue on Sunday night when they welcome fourth-placed Marseille.

Thomas Tuchel's side currently boast a 17-point lead over second-placed Lille in France's top flight, still with a game in hand.

Not only are PSG comfortably the highest scorers with 83 goals, they also boast the best defensive record, having shipped just 15.

Marseille have won five of their last six Ligue 1 matches to surge into fourth position, though, and will be looking to become just the second team to beat PSG in the league this season.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at how the hosts could line up in the French capital.

POSS PSG XI vs. MAR

Out: Neymar (foot), Julian Draxler (hamstring)
Doubtful: Edinson Cavani (hip)

It had been thought that Edinson Cavani would start for PSG against Dijon last time out, but the Uruguay international did not even make the bench and is again a huge doubt for this game with a troublesome hip injury.

Neymar is also still on the sidelines with a foot problem, meaning that Kylian Mbappe should again be joined in the final third by Angel di Maria as Julian Draxler is still suffering from a hamstring injury.

It has become increasingly difficult to predict Tuchel's XI on a week-to-week basis, but PSG are expected to line up in a 3-5-2 formation once again, which should see Juan Bernat and Thomas Meunier in the wing-back positions.

Marco Verratti is also a certainty to start, but Christopher Nkunku and Layvin Kurzawa could drop out with Thilo Kehrer and Dani Alves preparing to return to the team.
