Sunday's Ligue 1 predictions including PSG vs. Lyon

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Sunday's Ligue 1 games, including Paris Saint-Germain vs. Lyon.

Nice vs. Monaco (Sunday, 12.00pm)

The Allianz Riviera plays host to a highly-anticipated Derby de la Cote d'Azur on Sunday, as Nice prepare to lock horns with fellow European chasers Monaco.

Christophe Galtier's ideal start to life with Les Aiglons continued last week with a 2-1 success over Nantes, whereas Monaco fell to a 2-0 defeat against Marseille.

We say: Nice 2-1 Monaco

Nice's defensive resilience has to be broken at some point, and a hotly-contested derby would be the ideal occasion for Monaco's attackers to dust off their shooting boots after a much-needed European win.

However, the arrival of Delort has only added to the hosts' own firepower in the final third, and with no midweek fatigue for Galtier to contend with, we can only back Nice to take the spoils in this encounter.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Clermont vs. Brest (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Clermont will welcome Brest on Sunday and the hosts will look to continue their impressive start to the Ligue 1 campaign that has resulted in them sitting in sixth place after five games.

The visitors, meanwhile, will attempt to win their first league of the season this Sunday, having only collected three points so far this term.

We say: Clermont 1-1 Brest

Clermont are impressive at home, but they may be content with a point here after last week's loss, and Brest have done well against Clermont in recent encounters, so a draw here may be the most likely outcome, especially considering the last two fixtures between the sides have ended all square.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

Reims vs. Lorient (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Reims face Lorient on Sunday afternoon and only two points separate the sides in Ligue 1, with Sunday's hosts sitting in 10th position after collecting six points so far this season.

Lorient are two places higher than their opponents and have managed to pick up eight points, which has included two home wins.

We say: Reims 0-1 Lorient

Both teams are in fairly promising form, but Lorient seem to have Reims' number and may just manage to edge out the hosts in what is likely to be a tight contest, with the visitors claiming their first away victory of the season.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Troyes vs. Montpellier (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Troyes host Montpellier HSC on Sunday in Ligue 1, and the home side will look to make it two wins in two matches, after winning their first game of the season last weekend against Metz.

The visitors are on nine points, which leaves them two points better off than their opponents, and they are also entering the fixture off the back of a victory, thanks to a 2-0 win against Saint-Etienne last time out.

We say: Troyes 1-2 Montpellier HSC

Troyes will be determined to win their first home game of the season, but against Montpellier that may prove too tall of a task, and though the match may be close, the visitors should edge out the hosts to collect their first away victory of the season.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Angers vs. Nantes (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Angers will host Nantes in Ligue 1 on Sunday looking to continue their impressive start to the Ligue 1 campaign, which sees them occupying second place before matchday six begins.

Nantes are seven points worse off than their opponents, and they are looking for their second league win of the season.

We say: Angers 2-0 Nantes

Angers have been in sublime form this season and that is unlikely to change against Nantes, who are entering the fixture off the back of losing their last three games.

There is potential for this one to be fairly comfortable for the home side, who are yet to concede at home this season, and facing a side who have only scored three goals this campaign should mean that Angers win this contest.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

Marseille vs. Rennes (Sunday, 4.00pm)

Following respective draws to kick off their European campaigns, Marseille and Rennes prepare to resume Ligue 1 action with a clash at the Orange Velodrome on Sunday afternoon.

Jorge Sampaoli's side marched to a 2-0 success over Monaco during their last league outing, while Les Rouge et Noir fell to a dampening 2-0 loss against Reims.

We say: Marseille 2-1 Rennes

In spite of their obvious problems in the defensive third, Rennes have conducted two impressive pieces of business with Laborde and Sulemana, who ought to help the visitors break their goalscoring duck here.

However, Marseille need no lessons in finding the back of the net either and will be boosted by the return of the experienced Payet, so we can envisage Les Olympiens' unbeaten start remaining intact with another home win.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

PSG vs. Lyon (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Seeking to maintain their 100% start to the new Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain prepare to welcome Peter Bosz's improving Lyon outfit to the Parc des Princes for Sunday evening's pick of the fixtures.

Les Parisiens enter this game after being held to a 1-1 draw against Club Brugge in the Champions League, while Lyon claimed a 2-0 win at Rangers in the Europa League.

We say: Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 Lyon

PSG's treatment room is still well-occupied, and their confidence would have taken quite the hit against Brugge in midweek, but they have simply swept aside the competition in Ligue 1 so far.

The visiting Gones have also had less time to recover from their European venture and are dealing with their own raft of absentees, so we expect PSG to get back on track by a narrow margin on their own turf.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.
