Laurent Blanc: 'Paris Saint-Germain can do a Barcelona'

Laurent Blanc feels that PSG boast enough quality to win every competition during the 2015-16 campaign - including an elusive Champions League.

Laurent Blanc has claimed that his Paris Saint-Germain side can emulate Barcelona and sweep all before them on the domestic and European stage this season.

Les Parisiens beat newly-promoted Ligue 1 outfit Gazelec Ajaccio 2-0 at Parc de Princes on Sunday to maintain their 100% record in the 2015-16 campaign.

Having added the likes of Benjamin Stambouli, Kevin Trapp and Angel di Maria to his ranks during the summer, the PSG coach feels that his squad is strong enough to conquer every competition.

They clinched a domestic treble last term but were eliminated from the Champions League by the Catalans - who went on to win the competition - and Blanc aims to go one better this time around.

"We can compete on all levels, especially in the Champions League, if we remain at 100% and we have the full workforce," he told reporters.

"It was a dynamic win [against Gazelec], but what pleased me most was the defensive concentration of our players, which we have shown throughout pre-season."

Goals from Blaise Matuidi and Thiago Silva did the damage against Gazelec.
