Nasser Al-Khelaifi: 'Sanctions won't affect Paris Saint-Germain'

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi says his club's transfer plans have not been affected by economic sanctions imposed on them by UEFA.

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has said that the economic sanctions imposed on the club by UEFA will have no effect on their ability to sign players during this summer's transfer window.

The French club, along with Manchester City, were fined €60m and had their transfer spending for future seasons restricted after failing to comply with financial fair play rules.

"You can talk about financial penalties but we need to wait before drawing any definitive conclusions," Al-Khelaifi told reporters.

"Anyway, we are prepared to deal with any scenarios. We know what we want and we want to do what we have to do to achieve our goals during the transfer window. No one can stop us."

PSG set a new Ligue 1 record for the most victories in a season after beating Montpellier HSC 4-0 at Parc des Princes on Saturday.
