Esteban Granero reiterates support for Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Hughes

Estaban Granero claims that the Queens Park Rangers players are "very happy" to keep Mark Hughes as manager, despite their struggling season.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Esteban Granero has insisted that the whole team are "very happy" to have Mark Hughes at the helm.

The former Manchester City coach's position is believed to be under threat following reports that the 48-year-old has one game to turn the club's fortunes around after the West London outfit recorded a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at the weekend.

"The game was hard, and we had chances as well as they did," the Fulham Chronicle quotes Granero as saying. "And after losing many games, a first win would be like an injection of confidence.

"But we're very happy with [Hughes]. He's the best manager you can have, and he prepared us well for this game. We knew exactly how it was going to be. Now, we must train hard again, and look to the next match for a first three points."

QPR sit at the bottom of the league table after picking up just three points from nine games.
