Clint Hill disappointed with Newcastle United defeat

Clint Hill admits that he is disappointed after seeing QPR lose out to a late Shola Ameobi goal for Newcastle United.

Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill has admitted that he is disappointed with the way they lost to Newcastle United yesterday.

Shola Ameobi scored late on to give the home side all three points and Hill thinks that he and his teammates could have done better.

"It was a bit disappointing, the way we conceded the goal and the outcome of the game," he told the club's official website.

"Sometimes it's harder to take [conceding late on] than a three or four-nil loss. We worked hard to keep it all square and then they scored.

"I thought we could have done better for the goal. It was a disappointing day."

The result means that QPR remain five points from safety in 18th place in the Premier League.
