Clint Hill eyes Queens Park Rangers contract extension

Veteran QPR defender Clint Hill hopes that the club will extend his contract, which expires at the end of the season.

Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill is hopeful that he has done enough to earn a contract extension at Loftus Road.

The 36-year-old impressed in Sunday's visit of Chelsea but Rangers conceded an 88th-minute winner to keep them 18th in the Premier League, two points adrift of safety.

Nevertheless, Hill, who joined the club in 2010 after being released by Crystal Palace, says that he wants to stay in West London regardless of how their relegation battle ends.

"I've been at this club for so long and have witnessed all the trials and tribulations in the last five years. You can't help but get affectionate," he told the Evening Standard.

"QPR is part of me, it's been in my family's lives for five years and you can't help but get attached to it. I want the club to do well like everybody here does."

Hill's contract expires this summer.
