Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp: 'More to come from us'

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redkanpp believes that there is more to come from his side after they beat Barnsley on Saturday.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has said that there is more to come from his team after they beat Barnsley at Loftus Road on Saturday.

Charlie Austin scored twice as they kept a record-breaking eighth consecutive clean sheet in the league, and Redknapp is delighted with the start to the season.

"We're now on 26 points after 10 games which is a fantastic start, but there's so much more to come from this group of players," the club's official Twitter account quotes him as saying.

"We're beginning to play the way I want us to – the quickening up of the pace caused them a lot of problems in the second half."

Redknapp singled out Austin for praise after his match-winning performance and played down the importance of the clean-sheet record.

"Charlie's a really good player, I like him a lot. He's led the line well, he brings other people into play & he's scoring goals," he said.

"All the lads deserve credit, but especially the back four and ‪Rob Green,‬ they've all been fantastic for us. The ultimate goal here is promotion. That's the only record I'm after."

QPR are currently second in the Championship, level on points with Burnley at the top, but Redknapp's men have a game in hand.
