Barnsley manager David Flitcroft: 'We lacked belief'

Barnsley boss David Flitcroft wants his team to show more belief during their 2-0 defeat to Queens Par Rangers at Loftus Road on Saturday.

Barnsley manager David Flitcroft has said that his side needed more belief during their defeat to Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Saturday.

Charlie Austin scored two second-half goals to leave Barnsley rooted to the bottom of the Championship.

"The first half was evenly matched. In the second half we allowed them a foothold in the game. We needed more belief to drive on and get something," the club's official Twitter account quotes him as saying.

"It's sloppiness for the first goal with a short corner and you can't give Charlie Austin an inch.

"It was comfortable but you've got to see details through. You can't afford half a second switched off."

Barnsley remain bottom of the Championship with five points from their opening 11 matches.
