Harry Redknapp: 'Reading could earn promotion'

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp reveals that he is expecting Reading to challenge at the top of the Championship table at the end of the season.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that he has been impressed with the job that Nigel Adkins has done since his arrival at the Madejski Stadium.

Adkins has guided Reading to fifth position in the Championship table, and Redknapp believes that they will make it tough for QPR to earn promotion to the Premier League.

The former Tottenham Hotspur boss told reporters: "They will be bang there. Nigel has done a good job. Reading is a real good football club and they will be in the promotion race.

"We want to go up automatically. It won't be easy as there are a lot of good teams but I'm pleased with the start that we have made."

Redknapp travel to the Madejski to play Reading on Saturday lunchtime.
