Preview: Reading vs. Queens Park Rangers

Reading host Queens Park Rangers in the Championship on Saturday.

Reading host Queens Park Rangers in Saturday's early Championship kickoff with both sides currently occupying positions in the playoff places.

The visitors are one of three teams to so far have reached 30 points and depending on results later in the day could find themselves back at the top of the table.

Reading's strong start to the season is in danger of being undone with just one win from five league games and a 5-2 hammering by Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough last weekend.

Harry Redknapp's side ended a run of three games without a win by edging out Derby County at Loftus Road on the same day.

Nigel Adkins could welcome back Wayne Bridge, Billy Sharp and Danny Williams to his squad for the clash, although Royston Drenthe, Jem Karacan, Jason Roberts and Mikele Leigertwood remain out.

QPR will have to make do without Alejandro Faurlin, who could miss the rest of the season, and he could be replaced by Gary O'Neil.
