Karl Henry: 'Queens Park Rangers can still survive'

QPR midfielder Karl Henry is confident that the team can turn their fortunes around and stay in the Premier League.

Karl Henry has insisted that Queens Park Rangers are still capable of avoiding relegation from the Premier League.

The R's slipped four points adrift of safety on Saturday with a 3-1 defeat away to Crystal Palace.

Chris Ramsey's side have lost eight of their last nine games in the top flight.

Despite the club's hopes of staying up appearing to be fading fast, Henry still believes that they can secure survival.

"We are still confident we can get the points we need to stay up," he told QPR's official website. "We just haven't been able to get the results that our performances have deserved. I'm not saying that was the case on Saturday but we have got confidence in what we're doing and we believe we can get ourselves out of it.

"We strongly believe in the gaffer and what he is telling us to do. Ultimately, if we make mistakes on the pitch then we're going to lose games of football."

QPR continue their fight for survival this Sunday when they welcome Everton to Loftus Road.
