Philip Beard: 'Every Queens Park Rangers player under contract must stay'

Queens Park Rangers chief executive Philip Beard insists that the club's top players "must stay" if the club are relegated.

Queens Park Rangers chief executive Philip Beard has insisted that the club will not be offloading their first-team stars if they get relegated from the Premier League.

Suggestions have been made that the West London outfit could lose a number of high-profile players in the summer transfer window due to their unlikelihood of securing survival in the top flight.

"We agreed that if we're relegated, we have to bounce straight back," The Mirror quotes Beard as saying.

"To do this, we need the strongest squad possible and for that reason every player under contract must stay unless we get the right offer and Harry agrees to let them go.

"The commitment of the shareholders, including Amit Bhatia, is clear for all to see, and despite what has been a desperately disappointing season, the long-term future is very bright."

QPR are currently 10 points away from safety with just four games left to play.
