Prospective chairman Dave King: 'Rangers is broken in many areas'

Dave King says that he and his consortium will begin sorting out the issues at "broken" Rangers as soon as possible following their move onto the board.

Rangers prospective chairman Dave King has insisted that he and his consortium need to start sorting out the club's issues swiftly following their move onto the board.

King, Paul Murray and John Gilligan received 85% of votes from today's extraordinary general meeting to oust the current board and take over at the financially-stricken Scottish club.

"[The club is] broken in many areas - there's footballing issues, there's infrastructural issues, there's scouting issues, pretty much everything within the club has to be looked at, so I think it's very important that we get on top of that fairly quickly," King told reporters.

Derek Llambias and Barry Leach were removed as directors following today's EGM.
