Rangers boss Ally McCoist calls for discipline from his players ahead of their potentially title-deciding Old Firm clash with Celtic on Sunday.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist has warned his players against indiscipline ahead of Sunday's Old Firm match against Celtic.

McCoist is in no doubt about the importance of the fixture, as Celtic would clinch the SPL title with a win at Ibrox, but has stressed that they need to keep 11 players on the field if they want to avoid defeat.

"The importance of the fixture cannot be underestimated by anybody. The importance of the game is on every individual be it supporter, player, coach or manager," said McCoist.

"It is hard enough winning Old Firm games with 11 on the park but when you start losing personnel it becomes extremely difficult. When we beat Celtic 4-2 earlier this season we were helped by the fact Charlie Mulgrew was sent off.

"Last season we lost a number of players in Old Firm matches so it is important you play the game in the right manner. You have to be 100 pe cent committed while keeping your discipline and staying on the park."

Gers have suffered a torrid season thusfar, having entered administration, been deducted ten points and having the future of the club called into question.
