Saturday's Scottish Premiership predictions including Celtic vs. Hearts

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Scottish Premiership fixtures, including Celtic vs. Hearts.

Two teams battling to secure top-six finishes in the Scottish Premiership will clash on Saturday afternoon as Aberdeen host Motherwell at Pittodrie Stadium.

The hosts are fourth in the table with 43 points from 30 matches, while the visitors are seventh in the league standings with 38 points from 30 outings.

We say: Aberdeen 2-1 Motherwell

Both teams will be desperate for victories in their fight for a top-six finish, but Aberdeen have avoided defeat against Motherwell at home in the last four meetings, and we expect that to continue with a home triumph.

Celtic vs. Hearts (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic are set to welcome top-six contenders Hearts at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts are 13 points clear at the top of the league table, while the visitors are in sixth place with just a one-point lead over seventh-placed Motherwell.

We say: Celtic 2-0 Hearts

Celtic have been almost unstoppable in domestic competitions this season, and alongside their superb record against Hearts at their home ground, we expect a victory for the hosts.

Hibernian vs. St Johnstone (Saturday, 3.00pm)

High-flying Hibernian are set to host bottom-of-the-table St Johnstone at the Easter Road Stadium on Saturday evening in the Scottish Premiership.

The hosts are third in the standings with 44 points from 30 games, while the visitors are at the foot of the table with 26 points, trailing safety by six points.

We say: Hibernian 2-0 St Johnstone

These two sides played out a 1-1 draw in their most recent meeting, but Hibs claimed a 2-0 home victory earlier in the campaign, and with the hosts currently on a sensational unbeaten run in the league, we anticipate that streak to continue with another home win.

St Mirren vs. Kilmarnock (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Fighting for a place in the top half before the Scottish Premiership splits, St Mirren will take on Kilmarnock at the Smisa Stadium on Saturday.

The Saints are on a three-game winless run going into this weekend, while Killie have gone four without victory, and both teams will sense an opportunity to put things right in this clash.

We say: St Mirren 2-1 Kilmarnock

Given that St Mirren have been worse at home than away this year, and that their opponents have struggled on the road for months, expect a close-fought contest this weekend.

That being said, Killie have only avoided defeat away from their own ground on two occasions since October, and they are unlikely to make it three on Saturday.

Dundee vs. Rangers (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Two teams at opposite ends of the Scottish Premiership table will clash on Saturday evening, as relegation-threatened Dundee host Rangers at the Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park.

The hosts are 11th in the table with 31 points from 30 league matches, while the visitors are second in the standings with 62 points from 30 outings.

We say: Dundee 1-3 Rangers

The hosts may be boosted by their recent derby victory, but the visitors are undoubtedly the favourites to secure the victory, and we expect Rangers to comfortably win this one.
