Reading striker Pavel Pogrebnyak insists that he has no regrets over leaving Fulham, and doesn't believe that tomorrow's game between the two sides will be special.

Reading striker Pavel Pogrebnyak has insisted that he has no regrets about leaving Fulham this summer following his short stint with them last season.

Pogrebnyak will come up against his former club on Saturday having scored six goals in 12 games for the Cottagers at the end of last season.

However, the Russia international doesn't think that the match will be a special occasion for him and revealed that he left the club due to the departures of other top players.

"I wouldn't say it will be a special game," Pogrebnyak told Sport-Express. "I didn't play for three years at Fulham, only about four months.

"But I follow the matches of my previous clubs. Sometimes I imagine myself in [the Fulham] squad. I have never made a secret of it that I liked playing under Martin Jol's management.

"But I don't regret anything as the best players left Fulham. It's still a question how they will handle the case. I hope fortune will favour against Fulham."

Pogrebnyak has scored four goals in eight games in all competitions for Reading, who are still looking for their first league win of the season.
