Reading boss Nigel Adkins says that his side are learning vital lessons despite being rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.

Reading boss Nigel Adkins has said that his side are learning vital lessons in Premier League football despite their poor run of form.

The Royals succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Norwich City on Saturday, as goals from Ryan Bennett and Elliott Bennett condemned them to defeat.

Adkins told the club's official website: "Let's not hide away from where we are in the division.

"It was always going to be a massive challenge. But we'll learn the lessons from this game and get ourselves ready for the next one.

"Obviously we're at the wrong end of the division, but we've got to keep building on what we're doing."

Reading are bottom of the Premier League table and a win for Aston Villa against Manchester United would see the Royals relegated to the Championship.
