Trio heading for Reading exit

Simon Cox and Anton Ferdinand join Wales international Hal Robson-Kanu in leaving Championship side Reading on free transfers.

Reading have confirmed that Hal Robson-Kanu will depart the club on a free transfer this summer.

With his contract due to expire next month, the winger's future has been the subject of much speculation over recent weeks.

Now, the Royals have cleared up the uncertainty with the news that the 27-year-old will be on the move.

Anton Ferdinand and Simon Cox have also failed to agree extensions to their expiring terms with the Championship side.

On top of that, the loan quintet of Michael Hector, Andrew Taylor, Ola John, Lucas Piazon, Alex Fernandez and Matej Vydra have all returned to their respective parent clubs.
