Carlo Ancelotti still confident of progression

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti remains confident that Los Blancos will overcome Juventus in the semi-finals of the Champions League despite a first-leg defeat.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is still confident that he can lead his team into the final of the Champions League.

Los Blancos suffered a 2-1 defeat at Juventus in the first leg of their semi-final on Tuesday, with Ancelotti claiming that his team 'lacked patience'.

However, the Italian remains confident that the Spanish outfit will turn the tie around in the second leg next week.

"I think the match could've been the better for us. We wanted to have control of the match but were unlucky. We conceded on the counter and we're not happy about it, but with confidence we can turn things around," Ancelotti told reporters.

"I think we lacked a little patience. We didn't start well and it cost us a goal. We improved but we didn't improve enough. If we play well [in the second leg], we have a chance. If we lose the ball, [Juve] are dangerous on the counter."

Cristiano Ronaldo became the all-time leading scorer in Champions League history, on 76 goals, with Real Madrid's equaliser in the first period.
