Aitor Karanka is unsure whether Mesut Ozil will be fit to face Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey final.

Real Madrid assistant manager Aitor Karanka has admitted that the club are unsure how long Mesut Ozil will be out until he has undergone tests.

Ozil was stretchered off during Real's 6-2 thrashing of Malaga on Wednesday night and would miss next week's Copa del Rey final should he not recover in time.

"We do not know what the prognosis is," Marca quotes Karanka as saying. "He has an ankle problem and we will have to see how it evolves. I cannot confirm anything right now."

Real face city rivals Atletico Madrid in the final on May 17.
