Luis Enrique praises Luis Suarez

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique says that Luis Suarez justified his hefty price-tag by netting the winner in Sunday's El Clasico against Real Madrid.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has lavished praise on Luis Suarez after the striker proved the match-winner in Sunday's El Clasico against Real Madrid at the Camp Nou.

The Uruguay international netted early in the second period as Barcelona ran out 2-1 winners to stretch their lead at the top of the La Liga table to four points.

"Luis Suarez played very well. Top football. This is why we paid what we paid for him. We are very happy to see how decisive he is. He has done so many good things for the team since he came here," Enrique told reporters following the match.

"We're talking about a forward who knows how to relate to his teammates, who can shoot, who is physically tough and who has the right kind of character for the way we play. He's a great complement for his colleagues."

Suarez has netted eight goals and provided nine assists in 19 league games for Barcelona this season.
