How Real Madrid could line up against Levante

Sports Mole looks at how Real Madrid could line up in Saturday's La Liga clash with Levante.

Real Madrid will enter Saturday's La Liga clash with Levante having lost three of their last four matches in all competitions.

Indeed, Los Blancos have suffered defeats to Sevilla and Alaves in La Liga, in addition to losing at CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.

There is already huge pressure on head coach Julen Lopetegui, but Madrid are only two points off first-placed Sevilla, and would rise to the top of the division with all three points against Levante in Saturday's early kickoff.

That said, both La Liga matches between the two teams last season finished level, including a 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu in September 2017.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Madrid could line up this weekend.

Possible RMI XI vs. LEV

Out: Dani Carvajal (calf), Karim Benzema (hamstring)
Doubtful: Gareth Bale (groin), Isco (appendicitis)

Gareth Bale has been training alone in a bid to feature for Madrid this weekend, having been troubled by a groin problem since last month. The Welshman might not be risked from the start, however, even if he can prove his fitness.

Karim Benzema is also struggling with a hamstring problem, while Isco is unlikely to be risked as he continues his recovery from appendicitis.

As a result, Mariano Diaz could be handed a start through the middle, with Lucas Vazquez also selected alongside Marco Asensio.

Dani Carvajal's absence with a calf problem will see Nacho switch to right-back, with Marcelo returning on the opposite side having recovered from a muscular complaint.

Dani Ceballos is a midfield option for the capital giants, although Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Casemiro are expected to continue as the central three as the European champions look to return to winning ways.
