Saturday's La Liga predictions including Girona vs. Barcelona

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's La Liga fixtures, including Girona vs. Barcelona.

Real Sociedad vs. Las Palmas (Saturday, 1.00pm)

Real Sociedad will be bidding to bounce back from their defeat against Real Madrid when they continue their La Liga campaign at home to Las Palmas on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts are sixth in the La Liga table, two points ahead of seventh-placed Real Betis, while Las Palmas sit 14th, 11 points clear of the relegation zone with five games left.

We say: Real Sociedad 2-0 Las Palmas

Real Sociedad are not exactly flying at the moment, but the Basque outfit will fancy their chances of overcoming a seriously out-of-form Las Palmas outfit. The hosts need the points to boost their hopes of securing Europa League football for next season, and we are expecting them to win this weekend.

Real Madrid vs. Cadiz (Saturday, 3.15pm)

Real Madrid will enter Saturday afternoon's La Liga clash with relegation-threatened Cadiz knowing that a victory could be enough to see them crowned as champions with four games to spare.

Should Los Blancos beat 18th-placed Cadiz, Carlo Ancelotti's side would win the title if second-placed Barcelona fail to win against third-placed Girona later in the day.

We say: Real Madrid 2-0 Cadiz

Real Madrid have won their last three league matches against Cadiz, including a 3-0 success in the reverse match earlier this season, but it was only 2-1 at Bernabeu last term.

The home side will not be at full strength this weekend, but we are still expecting them to secure all three points, which could see them win the La Liga title on Saturday.

Girona vs. Barcelona (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Barcelona will be bidding to keep their La Liga title hopes alive, mathematically at least, when they head to Catalan rivals Girona for an intriguing contest on Saturday evening.

Xavi's side are second in the table, 11 points behind the leaders Real Madrid and just two points clear of third-placed Girona, who are on course to secure Champions League football for next season.

We say: Girona 1-1 Barcelona

Girona have lost just once at home in the league this season, while Barcelona have drawn six of their 16 matches on their travels. We are finding it difficult to separate the two teams here, so Real Madrid could be confirmed as champions on Saturday, as we are expecting them to overcome Cadiz.

Mallorca vs. Atletico (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Atletico Madrid will be bidding to strengthen their grip on a top-four position in the La Liga table when they travel to relegation-threatened Mallorca on Saturday night.

Diego Simeone's side sit fourth, six points ahead of fifth-placed Athletic Bilbao, while Mallorca occupy 16th, six points clear of the relegation zone heading into the final straight.

We say: Mallorca 1-1 Atletico Madrid

Atletico's away form has been so disappointing this season, and Mallorca do not give up many goals in front of their own fans, so we are struggling to back an away success with any real conviction. Mallorca are fighting for points to stay out of the bottom three, meanwhile, and we can see a low-scoring draw occurring this weekend.
