Barcelona won't concede title to Real Madrid

Barcelona refuse to concede the title to Real Madrid following a 1-1 draw with Espanyol.

Barcelona have refused to concede the title to Real Madrid following their 1-1 draw in the Catalan derby.

The result left the European champions five points adrift of their fierce rivals at the top of the table.

However, both midfielder Cesc Farbregas and boss Pep Guardiola have insisted that the title race is nowhere near over just yet.

"The championship is very long and there are still plenty of points up for grabs which can be won and lost," said Guardiola.

Fabregas, who scored Barcelona's goal in the draw against Espanyol, also commented after the game via his official Twitter account.

"Difficult game tonight, we left two points but we have to keep going till the end. Now time to rest."

Barcelona travel to Osasuna on Thursday night for a Copa del Rey fixture.
