Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti welcomes Brazil's interest in his services but insists that he remains committed to Los Blancos.

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has said that he is "very excited" by Brazil's interest in his services.

The 63-year-old has a contract at Bernabeu until the summer of 2024, but there have been suggestions that he could leave his role in the Spanish capital at the end of the current campaign.

Ancelotti won three competitions for Real Madrid last season, with Los Blancos triumphing in La Liga, the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup.

The Madrid giants can technically still win three trophies this term, but they are 12 points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona and trail the Catalan outfit 1-0 ahead of the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final.

Real Madrid will take on Chelsea in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, meanwhile, with the club looking to make it back-to-back European Cups.

Brazil are believed to have identified Ancelotti as their number one target to replace Tite, who left his managerial role with the national side following the 2022 World Cup.

The president of the Brazilian FA Ednaldo Rodrigues has confirmed that there is interest in the Italian.

Ancelotti has welcomed the interest from the South American nation, but he has insisted that his main focus is on helping Real Madrid enjoy a successful end to the campaign.

"The reality is that the Brazilian national team wants me and I love it and I'm very excited about it, but then I have to respect the contract I have and I want to fulfil it," Ancelotti told reporters when questioned on the latest rumours during a press conference on Saturday afternoon.

"I'm not surprised that there are these rumours. It doesn't affect me, it doesn't worry me. I'm just focused on fulfilling my duties with this club and with this team.

"I'm still here until Real Madrid allow me to stay here. I'm very well and I feel the affection of the president, the fans and the players. We have two months ahead of us and then hopefully we can continue."

However, Ancelotti did reveal that he would be open to meeting the president of the Brazilian FA to discuss the possibility of taking on the role in the future.

"If he wants to talk to me I would love to meet and greet him," the Italian said when addressing the media ahead of Sunday's La Liga clash with Real Valladolid.

Ramon Menezes, who is the head coach of Brazil Under-20s, is currently in charge of the senior side on an interim basis.
