Former France manager Raymond Domenech has backed Zinedine Zidane to thrive as the new head coach of Real Madrid.
Zidane took charge of Los Blancos earlier this week after Rafael Benitez was relieved of his duties, despite only taking charge at the start of the current season.
Domenech, who was in charge of France between 2004 and 2010, has claimed that Zidane's personality and the fact that he is "not a nice guy" will make him a successful manager.
"Zidane has that element of mystery that surrounds the stars. He can arouse emotions in people and not just positive ones," Domenech told Le Monde.
"He's not a star without problems. He's not a nice guy. He's capable of anything and that's what makes him a human god. In 2016 you only need two things to be a Coach: an image and effectiveness in dealing with players."
Zidane had previously been in charge of Real Madrid Castilla.
