New Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova says that there is no bad blood between himself and Jose Mourinho, despite an eye-poking incident at the end of last season.

New Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova has said that his relationship with Jose Mourinho is 'not bad'.

Mourinho was seen poking Vilanova in the eye during a melee on the touchline at the end of last season's Spanish Super Cup between the El Clasico duo.

However, Vilanova told reporters today that he is getting tired of being asked about the incident.

Mourinho was handed a two-match ban in the competition by the Spanish football federation but that has since been lifted by new president Angel Maria Villar as a general amnesty.

Vilanova added: "The one-man panel imposed a sanction, the [new] president decided on an amnesty [for us], and I accept it. It has worked this way for many years.

"The biggest punishment the two of us will have are the images, that people will be able to see for many years."

The 42-year-old added that there would be no bad blood between the two men in the upcoming season, saying: "Mourinho has already greeted me at the Bernabeu in the league [since then], and I don't think we have a bad relationship."

Real and Barca meet for the first time in the new season on Sunday, October 7 at the Camp Nou.
