Team News: Lucas Vazquez comes in for Gareth Bale at the Bernabeu

Lucas Vazquez replaces Gareth Bale in Real Madrid's starting lineup for the visit of Villarreal at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid have brought Lucas Vazquez back into their starting lineup for this evening's La Liga meeting with Villarreal at the Bernabeu.

The 24-year-old winger comes into the side in place of the injured Gareth Bale, who is out with a niggling back injury.

Los Blancos can call upon two of their other star attacking talents, though, as both Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema are fully fit to start in the Spanish capital for a strong-looking Madrid side.

Villarreal can turn to 22-goal striker Cedric Bakambu, meanwhile, with the last of his league strikes coming in the 2-0 win over Getafe earlier this month.

The Yellow Submarine have a strong foothold on fourth place in La Liga heading into tonight's fixtures, while Madrid are still in title contention at the top end of the division.

Real Madrid XI: Keylor Navas, Danilo, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Kroos, Casemiro, Modric, Lucas Vazquez, Benzema, Ronaldo
Subs: Casilla, Arbeloa, Nacho, Kovacic, ISco, Rodriguez, Jese

Villarreal XI: Asenjo, Mario, Bonera, Bailly, Rukavina, Dos Santos, Trigueros, Bruno, Denis Suarez, Adrian, Bakambu
Subs: Areola, Marin, Iniguez, Ruiz, Hernandez, Samu, Baptistao
