Real Madrid face competition from bitter rivals Barcelona for David Alaba and Erling Braut Haaland, according to a report.
Borussia Dortmund striker Haaland and versatile Bayern Munich defender Alaba, who has announced that he will leave the club when his contract expires in June, are believed to be Madrid's top two summer transfer targets.
However, Spanish outlet AS claims that Barca are also eyeing up both players as part of a big overhaul under Joan Laporta, who was elected as club president for a second time at the weekend.
Laporta is said to have made tying down Lionel Messi to a new contract his number-one priority between now and the summer, but bringing in big-name signings is also on his in-tray.
The report indicates that Laporta has already held talks with Alaba's camp regarding a free transfer, while plans are in place to discuss a possible move for Haaland, who will cost more than £100m.
