Sergio Ramos will reportedly be offered an opportunity to pen a new one-year contract at Real Madrid.
Despite being five months short of his 35th birthday, Ramos is still regarded as a key man at the Bernabeu, a status strengthened by his contribution against Barcelona at the weekend.
However, according to Marca, club officials have no plans to hand Ramos a deal which runs past the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
Although no agreement is currently in the offing, Real's stance is not expected to prevent the Spaniard from committing to another 12 months at the club.
President Florentino Perez stated in the summer that Ramos would see out his career at Los Blancos, a stint which has already lasted 15 years.
