Gareth Bale trains after groin scan

Wales winger Gareth Bale takes part in a full training session having undergone a scan on his groin earlier today.

Gareth Bale has taken part in a full training session with Wales having undergone a scan on his injured groin.

Bale picked up the groin strain during training on Thursday, causing him to miss Wales's 2-1 defeat to Macedonia on Friday as an unused substitute.

The new Real Madrid winger had a scan on the injury earlier today and was able to train with his teammates in the evening, raising hopes that he will be available for tomorrow's World Cup qualifying match against Serbia.

Wales boss Chris Coleman will not make a final decision over his availability until tomorrow, as he waits to see whether Bale suffers any reaction to the training session.

Bale became the world's most expensive footballer this summer when he completed an £85m move from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid.
