David Moyes pleased with Espanyol victory

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes praises his side following Sunday's 1-0 win over Espanyol.

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes has expressed his belief that his side fully deserved to beat Espanyol at the Anoeta on Sunday.

A first-half strike from Sergio Canales secured a 1-0 victory for the Basque outfit, who now sit 11th in the La Liga table.

"I think we did a good job, although we wanted more goals, but we tried really hard in the second half," the Scot told reporters.

"I'd have liked to have reached 30 points sooner and we still can't feel safe. However, we'll be trying something different for next week's game against Getafe."

Sociedad have won seven of their 14 home league games this season, but are still without a victory on the road.
