Team News: Giovanni Trapattoni makes two changes for Republic of Ireland

Paul Green and Anthony Pilkington both come into the Republic of Ireland starting lineup for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against Austria in Vienna.

Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni has made two changes to his side for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against Austria in Vienna.

Paul Green and Anthony Pilkington both come into the starting lineup in place of James McClean and the injured Glenn Whelan.

Ireland need to beat Austria to keep alive their slim qualification chances, but a win for Sweden against Kazakhstan could mean the end of their hopes.

Trapattoni's team were held to a 2-2 draw by Austria in the reverse fixture in Dublin six months ago.

Austria: Almer; Garics, Dragovic, Fuchs, Prodl, Alaba, Baumgartlinger, Burgstaller, Kavlak, Weimann, Harnik

Republic of Ireland: Forde; Coleman, O'Shea, Dunne, Wilson; Walters, Green, McCarthy, Pilkington; Keane, Long
