Alessandro Florenzi: 'We're better than Lazio'

Roma starlet Alessandro Florenzi believes that Lazio are the inferior team in the Italian capital ahead of Sunday's derby clash.

Roma midfielder Alessandro Florenzi has claimed that the Giallorossi are better than their city rivals Lazio.

The two teams meet in the Rome derby on Sunday with just two points separating them in the Serie A table.

"The table says that Lazio are the superior team right now, but I think we are better and we can take the game," Football Italia quotes the 21-year-old as saying.

"We're going into the derby in good shape and it will certainly be a great game. We've played some great football, we just have to do so for the whole 90 minutes."

Florenzi, an Italian Under-21 international, has made his first-team breakthrough this season, scoring two goals in 10 appearances.
