Aston Villa have reportedly joined West Ham United in the race to sign Roma forward Mattia Destro this summer.
It is understood that the Hammers have already held a meeting with Destro's representative as the Italian prepares to leave Roma in this transfer window.
However, according to The Express, Villa have now expressed an interest in the 24-year-old, who spent last season on loan at AC Milan.
Destro joined Roma from Siena in 2012, but is reportedly available for transfer this summer despite an impressive scoring record in Italian football.
Villa are expected to have money to spend this summer due to Christian Benteke's impending move to Liverpool.
